WindMill Festival is India’s First & Only International Children’s Festival that aims at curating outdoor entertainment for the SEC A & A+ urban family, where the child is the epicenter of the curation. While the festival has no age limit, activities are curated to suit the 0-3, 4-7 and 8-11 age groups. We speak to the cosmopolitan resident of a city who yearns for the outdoors due to lack of public open spaces. The key objectives of the festival are to give the urban child an outlet to be creative, gain information and get a recreational experience along with an avenue to spend quality time with their parents and friends in an outdoor setting.
The debut edition of the festival, that took place in Bhartiya City, Bangalore in November 2015, attracted over 6,000 families. Children were engaged in over 50 outdoor sport, science and art workshops, India’s largest festival petting zoo and Nickelodeon toon characters. In its second edition, WindMill Festival will travel to Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.
